Estes Park Wedding Planner at the Cheley Lodge and Grove Chapel | Madeline + Allan
Providing wedding planning and wedding rental services for Madeline and Allan’s Estes Park wedding at The Cheley Lodge and Grove Chapel with a first look on Trail Ridge Road in Rocky Mountain National Park was absolutely amazing!
Madeline and Allan truly showed how well established their relationship was throughout the planning of their wedding. When Covid19 hit, everything changed for this couple and they quickly began to watch their Summit County large wedding dreams disappear. Madeline came to us and told us she didn't know if she should cancel her wedding or not and we could tell in her voice how heart broken she was. So we went to work, we called her back a week later with a few options. Since Summit County was on a tighter lock down protocol than other counties we told Madeline and Allan it would be possible to find a new venue. We had two weeks to re plan their entire wedding we had been planning for the last year plus.
We decide that Estes Park was our only option for a wedding their size and that would give them the breathtaking views they wanted. This couple was all about adventure and we knew we had to find something that matched that energy. We have been doing weddings in Estes Park, Co for over 8 years now and thankfully we have access to some pretty amazing locations for weddings. We all decided that Cheley Colorado Camp would be the venue for Madeline and Allan to say their I do's.
The venue was currently operating as a children's summer camp and had been for over 100 years now. It was an iconic part of Estes Park, and had gorgeous views of Longs Peak and Mummy Range from The Chapel. Madeline and Allan said their vows under a 100 year old pavilion chapel with the most breath taking views around.
The reception would be held about 50 feet from the chapel in the main lodge. We knew we had our work cut out for us to transform a children's dining hall into an elegant mountain reception hall, so we got to planning. Lining the tables up into three long rows we used tons of greenery as the gorgeous log tables did not need much to be brought to life. We added in wooden boxes of baby's breath florals and tons of candles to bring in that romantic mountain vibe for their table centerpieces. The couple's grandmother had cut out fabric pieces that the couple decided to use for their guest book in planning for it to be sewn and be used in their new home together. the bar was hosted on the deck right outside the reception hall and the weather could not have been more perfect for dancing and drinks on the deck under a bed of stars. Madeline and Allan had been practicing and choreographing their first dance for months and we were all biting our nails in anticipation, and of course it was to the Lion King Theme Song. It was truly magical to watch them swing around the dance floor together and their families join in slowly. We know that wedding planning during a pandemic is scary, but that is what we are here for. Our goal is to create your dream wedding day no matter the obstacles that may stand in our way. That is what happened with Madeline and Allan and it could not have been a more romantic, perfect wedding!
