Tennessee Catholic Wedding at Saint Francis of Assisi + Reception at Arrowhead Golf Club
Julia and Reed were such a fun couple to work with for wedding planning and day of coordination at Saint Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Castle Rock and Arrowhead Golf Club in Littleton. The bride and groom were originally planning a big destination wedding for themselves (they are from the South) but when Covid19 came along we had to adjust their plans a bit. We downsized about half of their guest count but were able to keep their amazing venue!
The couple started off their day getting ready at Saint Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. They then shared their first look, then headed into the main chapel for their beautiful ceremony. The church did not need much sprucing up and it was a very romantic ceremony to watch. We then shuttled guests over to the reception at Arrowhead Golf Course in Littleton, Co. The reception took place under a large white tent on the golf course. The huge sandstone red rock cliffs provided the perfect backdrop views from the reception and made for some epic sunset photos!
For the reception we decided to keep the theme light and airy, with an elegant feel. We set the guest tables with white linens, then we decided on our classic bud vase centerpieces and rustic wood slabs. For florals we went with simple floral pops and lots of eucalyptus greenery on the tables and added in a larger garland for their sweetheart table, just to ensure all eyes were on our couple that night.
The bar was placed just outside the tent in a big open area that we decided to fill with wedding lawn games for cocktail hour and some added reception fun. It was such a fun night and guests were able to celebrate Julia and Reed's marriage with drinks, dancing, and playing games under the stars. The couple had wanted a fun and unique idea for their grand exit. So decided that each guest would get a glow in the dark sparkler wand at each place setting. This is a great send off option when Colorado has a fire ban and couples need an alternative to a sparkler exit. We incorporated the glow sticks into dancing throughout the night and then formed a tunnel to cheer the bride and groom out of the reception.
It was such a joy to provide wedding planning services for these two and we had a fun night getting to know Julia and Reid's family and watch them celebrate the start to their new lives!
