Intimate Airbnb Wedding in Estes Park Colorado | Meghan + Fahad
Providing wedding planning services and helping Meghan and Fahad put together their intimate Airbnb Wedding in Estes Park Colorado was such a joy. When we first began planning Megan and Fahad’s wedding we planned a large wedding at an amazing venue in Estes Park, Co. However when Covid-19 hit all of our wedding plans changed. We all decided to plan a romantic and intimate wedding at an Airbnb in Estes Park instead.
As a wedding planner we normally would like at least 7-12 months to plan a wedding, but for Megan and Fahad we had two weeks to plan an entire new Colorado style wedding that would live up to their previous wedding plans pre-pandemic.
It wasn’t hard to find a gorgeous Airbnb in beautiful Estes Park and we soon found one with a view of Longs Peak and Mummy Range. We decided to hold the ceremony on top on a giant Boulder adjacent to the Airbnb with the perfect views and their families watching from the wrap around deck of the Airbnb.
This couple was such a joy to work with and truly were so easy going. They gave us creative freedom to create their reception wedding theme. Their colors were very classic and we wanted to keep things simple and just enhance the natural beauty of the forest that surrounded the reception space. We decided on a dusty rose, gold, and shades of nude for their color palette. Now it was time to dig into our wedding rental items and decided to do a dinner under the stars theme. We used our gorgeous farm tables and wooden charivari chairs for dinner. Then to top that off we used our canopy lighting to cover their dinner tables and create a romantic setting for their backyard micro wedding reception, followed by whiskey and champagne at our whiskey barrel bar. We knew that there needed to be fairy lights everywhere to flow with our canopy lights. So we took to work wrapping all the surround trees with fairy lights and placing lanterns all over the reception area. The ambient light mixed with the full night sky or stars was the perfect amount of light.
Meghan was adamant on cookies and milk as their late night snack and even brought cookies from her favorite shop over 1300 miles just for their wedding guests to try. For their wedding cake we did a simple one tier his and hers cake that was absolutely delicious and everyone quickly finished up. The couple got to enjoy their first dances as a married couple with their family in the middle of the Rocky Mountains under a canopy of fairy lights and stars! It was truly a magical and romantic mountain elopement! Who says you have to be traditional. Meghan and Fahad knew when this pandemic hit that it wouldn’t stop them from saying I do and we are so thankful to have helped plan their dream Colorado wedding!
We can’t wait to help you plan and decorate your dream wedding or elopement day!
