Winter Wedding at C1 Barn

Becky & Richard’s Winter Wedding at C1 Barn in Colorado Springs during the Christmas Holiday season was filled with gorgeous rustic and winter holiday colors. We were so grateful to be the wedding planners for Becky and Richard, they made the process so fun with their style and easy going attitudes. We originally planned their wedding to be had at Della Terra in Estes Park, Co, However Covid19 had other plans for this wedding and we had to pivot at a week out. We all decided on C1 Barn in Colorado Springs. The venue had a gorgeous view and lots of open land to have their ceremony. We also had just enough room inside for all guests and even dancing (which there was a lot of).

The couple really wanted to incorporate a Christmas vibe for their wedding reception décor. In addition to being the couples wedding planners we also provided all wedding rental décor for their big day. We were so excited about their theme and knew we had to bring it on the big day.

For the ceremony we did a minimal set up. At the entrance of the ceremony, since it was a December wedding, we provided a blanket and a fun hot chocolate station for guests to grab a warm drink and blanket to enjoy during the ceremony. The couple also decided to incorporate there two very special furry children. The pups then needed flowers of course, our lovely lady pip was fitted with a flower color and collar bout for our gentleman pup (who knew this was a thing?)! Guest then enjoyed cocktail hour and games on the front lawn while the couple explored C1 Barn’s gorgeous property for their bride and groom portraits.

We then moved things inside the venue for dinner, toasts, tons of laughs, and lots of dancing. For the wedding we hired a private bartender for the event who was an absolute trooper for this big guest count and the guest enjoyed all the amazing drinks our bartender served. As wedding planners here in Colorado we feel strongly that even elopements need a bartender. You shouldn’t have to be pouring drinks on your big day. For the theme of the wedding reception. We had long wooden tables that lined the walls of the space. We used white porcelain china then to add to that holiday wedding theme we used our velvet green table runners paired with our gorgeous aspen vases for florals. Becky and Richards sweetheart table was placed front and center and again adding in that Christmas wedding vibe we decorated the table with light up aspen trees, poinsettias, velvet green draping, and a festive wreath with pops of gold in the vases to really bring all the attention to them. For dinner the couple decided on going buffet style and had the amazing Mcdevitt Taco Supply cater their event, and let’s just say there were no leftovers to be seen. After all who doesn’t love tacos?! This couple truly made the best out of a devastating situation and it paid off. As wedding planners we are there throughout the entire process of the planning and that means having back up plans after back up plans. Your dream day might not always be what you expected in this new world we are living in but we promise to always do our best to make our couples vision come to life regardless of what’s going on around us at the time. At the end of the day Becky and Richard got their dream of having a rustic Colorado Christmas wedding and we couldn’t have been more happy with how things turned out.
